Supernatural: Castiel can't believe this
I watched True Blood. Um, it's pretty good, I guess. A seven, maybe?

I don't know, I got tired of the "all conservatives are ignorant, closet homosexual bigots" thing after the first couple of times it happened on the show. (Actually, I got tired of it after the 35 000 times I saw on other shows.) I mean, I have it on good account that no more than 40% of conservatives are ignorant, closeted homosexual bigots.

I guess I will keep watching this season just in case Terry gets a bigger role.

Anyway! In other vampire news:

CHAGRIN COUNT: 5

USE OF THE PHRASE "RAINBOW SPARKLES" COUNT: 1

What episode are you up to?

Also, did you pick that Jason is a dude who used to be on 'Home and Away'? Seriously; check that shit out. It will blow your mind.

Holy crap that guy is AUSTRALIAN? I had no idea.

And I just watched the first one of season two, so I'm almost caught up.

Buffy has ruined vampires for me. I keep waiting for her to show up and slay them.

Hahah it's funny you say that. Because when I was watching it I was thinking that my long-term love affair shows (especially Supernatural) have ruined TV for me for life. I feel like I'll never accept anything new!

I think anti-gay political beliefs are really more of a generational thing than a conservative thing; it just happens to be associated with conservatives because older people are probably overrepresented due to the stereotype that people become more conservative when they age and amass enough personal savings to not want it overtaxed.

Of the many conservatives around my age that I've encountered, only a tiny handful have been of the bigoted variety. When I was in high school, I volunteered with the NDP (a Canadian social democratic party) for one campaign, and witnessed many elderly party faithful complaining about the party's pro-same-sex marriage stance. I overheard one older man complaining that the party shouldn't be helping out "those men who kiss other men in Toronto" when they're supposed to be focused on "the rugged working man." I think he missed the irony of "the rugged working man" being a rather homoerotic visual. :P
