In other news, somebody must have linked the Supernatural page somewhere, because this week it all of a sudden started getting a thousand hits a day, rather than several dozen. Which is awesome, except that in my assumption that not many people would visit it, I'd used several pictures from my free Photobucket account. Um. Not a good plan.

(I like my friend's theory that the surprising number of apparent SPN fans is due to Eric Kripke visiting the page 100 times a day.)

Weirdly, it doesn't seem to have all gone down like I thought had happened for a minute or two - individual pictures were disappearing, while others were staying up. I'm not sure how that works. Anyway. I hope it's back to normal now and everything is visible.

They were emailing me about putting something on the front page and I really thought it would be my Sarah Palin thing, which I actually spent time on. I really wish there'd been more warning and that I hadn't wrote this in twenty minutes between study attempts, since there is a lot more to say about Livejournal than I said there.

On a related note: last night I said to myself: "Self, I feel like reading. I think I will read this informative book on the influence of the Babylonian exile on Jewish creation myths." Of course, I then put aside the book and started reading Midnight Sun instead.

What kept it amusing for the 50 pages I got through was a) Jasper and b) keeping a mental tally of every time Stephenie Meyer uses the word 'chagrin'.

The Near Dark section that was cut from the cracked article I wrote about horror movies. I don't know why it was cut. It might have been for length, or because no one in the world has actually seen this movie, or because it wasn't good enough. But I prefer to think that is because it was just too awesome.
